  • New Release 1.15 for Bluestore POS

    An update to Bluestore POS was released today, Monday 27th Jan.

    Our deli and cafe customers have long been asking for the ability to create customer bills, capture table and number of covers for parked sales and print to a second kitchen printer. This is all now possible with Bluestore and it also adds the potential to create layaways and pre-orders direct from the POS.

    The power of the POS sales screen has been enhanced with the addition of free text notes at transaction and line item level adding a huge amount of flexibility to the information that can be added to the sale and printed on the customer receipt.

    We've also improved the data import facility on this new version. It's now much simpler to import your products, prices and stock to Bluestore, with clear messages to help you diagnose problems with the data before it has loaded.

    New reports have been added to display the sales summary and detail by customer, along with improvements to the VAT / Sales Tax reporting and the Top Sellers Report.

    Here's the full list of new features and enhancements:

    • New and improved data import function.
    • Print an open bill to present to the customer for payment.
    • Add notes to the sale either at transaction or item level

    • Changed 'to date' on data export which was not inclusive making the reports confusing.
    • Improvements to validation of API requests and various API bug fixes.
    • More sophisticated and streamlined data flow between store and cloud server. Reduces load on the system.
    • Fix issue whereby a sale in progress can be opened on a second terminal causing an error.
    • Improvements on terminal startup in situations where the store is already running.
    • Notify user on reconciliation if parked sales are about to be deleted.

  • New Release 1.13.10

    Version 1.13.10 will be in production on Monday!

    This Monday 25th March will see a new release making it onto our servers. The release will uploaded between 5am and 6am GMT so please expect some console downtime during this period. The POS application will continue to run normally while the console is down for maintenance.

    We have introduced the ability to perform stock transactions on the console in this release, including new inter-store transfers of inventory. We have also laid the groundwork for more sophisticated stock processing by improving the product maintenance and units of measure,

    Main Updates in This Release

    - New console stock transactions; store transfer, write on/off, stock count, goods receipt.
    - Improved product maintenance. Change to tab view in preparation for future new product functions.
    - New column filter to allow product search on prices, ranges and discounts. Replaced product page search with new filter.
    - Extend units of measure to include conversions in preparation for future stock functionality
    - API improvements
    - Include change as a payment line on transaction journal
    - Change from live scroll to paging on console data maintenance and improve data display management
    - Improvements to the POS software updater
    - Console sales prices screen solve problems with buttons not appearing at certain resolutions
    - Fixed stock receipt bug when stock is negative
    - Many other bug fixes and small improvements

  • New Release 1.12.10

    Phew, version 1.12.10 went live today!

    It took a while to get this release finally polished up. Some serious internal code changes meant we had a longer testing and bug fixing phase than usual. The benefit though is a much more robust core and the ability to handle thousands more products than we could previously.

    On a modest POS machine we can now initialise 10,000 products in a few minutes, storing business data and transactions both offline and online so that the POS keeps running even with no internet connection.

    - Much faster data initialisation from the hub to store
    - New bulk assignment of products to discounts, charges and range lists
    - Better transaction void/refund handling

  • New Release 1.11.8

    The latest Bluestore Live release 1.11.8 will go live on Wednesday 16th May between 4am and 6am BST / 1pm EDT.

    Main changes in this release:

    1. Ability to refund to any payment method
    2. Terminal login and sale performance / usability improvements
    3. Integrated credit card processing
    4. Internal work completed for connection to customer display devices
    5. Reports now exclude tax for non-VAT territories
    6. Dashboard and reports performance improvements
    7. Enhancements to the API
    8. Various other bug fixes and performance enhancements

  • New Release 1.10.7

    The latest Bluestore Live release 1.10.7 will be applied across the production servers on Monday 20th Feb at 5am GMT (12am EST / 9pm PST).

    Main changes in this release:

    1. Ability to create and search for a customer during a sale
    2. Progress indicator for data initialisation on the terminal
    3. Improved 'find sale' option on terminal
    4. Product selection by scanning barcode in stock transactions and price check
    5. Fixed printing of receipts for Post Voids
    6. Terminal button texts tidied
    7. Blocked store/terminal from opening twice
    8. New report 'Sales By Category'
    9. Reports can now be output to excel as well as pdf and html
