    An update to Bluestore POS has been released today.

    The full list of enhancements is below:

  • Bluefish Retail Launches Bluestore POS for iPad

    Bluestore Live demonstrates a host of powerful features, integration with ecommerce tools and an attractive month-to-month subscription. To increase the flexibility of its use, Bluefish Retail have now developed a lightweight version of Bluestore Live for iPad.

    Bluestore Live, a cloud-based Point of Sale (POS), today introduces its iPad app of the same name. Bluestore gives merchants the tools they need to grow their business: account management, inventory control, payment processing, and real-time data analysis. Extending functionality to the mobile sphere with the app, Bluestore for iPad will work both on and offline and is perfect for tradeshows and events, always maintaining real-time access to all critical business information at anytime, from anywhere. When a user creates a transaction using the iPad app, sales and stock information are synced to the cloud based admin console.

    What makes Bluestore different from the other POS offerings out there is its hybrid approach. Making use of the cloud for all the necessary data storage–inventory, price lists, store information, tax classes, user and customer info, and more are all stored in an administrative console on Bluefish’s servers, accessible through an internet connection.  The terminal software, on the hand, is run locally, which means there’s no interruption to a store’s ability to sell if their internet connection goes down.  And because the terminal is Java based, it’s inherently platform independent.  You can run it on Windows (PC or Tablet), Mac, Linux and now iOS for iPad.

  • Bluestore POS for iPad

    After a great deal of development, Bluestore POS for iPad is now available for download from the app store.

    We've kept the app free as we really see it as an extension to the functionality of your monthly Bluestore Live subscription. Perfect for tradeshows and events, this lighter weight version of Bluestore allows you to sell on the go whilst still maintaining the cumulative data in your main admin console.

    If you've already got an enterprise up and running, you'll enter the same credentials as you use for your cloud-based admin console. You're then free to choose which store and you'd like to connect to and which terminal you want to use. It's a good idea to set up a specific terminal for your iPad so you can differentiate between sales in your transaction report.
